ABOUT JEANNE COLE
Jeanne became a non-denominational, inter-faith hospital chaplain in 2003. And in 2006 she was commissioned in Sonoma County as a chaplain serving first responders and the individuals and families they are called to serve in times of crisis. Jeanne is knowledgeable and respectful of all faith traditions. With an open and compassionate heart, she also happily serves those who may have no formal faith at all.
When friends and family members began asking Jeanne to officiate at marriages and memorial services she considered it an honor and a blessing. She soon realized how much she enjoyed helping others create meaningful and personal custom ceremonies that were rich in ritual and symbolism. And so, Official Blessings was born.
Jeanne believes we are all spiritual beings on a human journey, and thus every right of passage on this journey is an event to be blessed and celebrated.
Footnote: Following a career as a film studio publicist, and raising her sons, Jeanne decided it was time to change the direction of her journey through life. Instead of racing to meet deadlines on the freeway of life she took the exit for the road less traveled. Not only did she find time to stop and smell the roses, she found time to give to others she met along the way.
